I have installed the Canon EOS Webcam Utility software and the SX740 is compatible. However, as soon as I plug the camera into my computer via a USB cable, the lens retracts and the shutter closes. I bought a canon powershot SX740 HS recently with the intent to use it for both photography and steaming. But i can't get it to function for streaming. Everything i've looked at says its not compatible with the software or that i need to pay out for more equipment.
